Cyprus is a Eurasian island-country located in Mediterranean Sea and is one of the most popular tourist destinations. It offers numerous tourist attractions that’ll surely make your trip a truly memorable one.

Cyprus - Lefkosia

Cyprus offers many things to do like exploring 10,000 years of history, culture and civilization. One of the biggest attractions here is the ‘Tombs of the Kings’ a UNESCO World Heritage Site, these are rock cut monuments belonging to the Hellenistic and early Roman period.

Other famous attractions are Paphos Castle, Castle of Old Port, Maa-Paleokastro Settlement and circular Medieval Walls of Lefkosia, fortified by eleven heart-shaped bastions and surrounded by moat. Near Troodos massif, there are few Byzantine frescoed churches like Agios Nikolaos Tis Stegis, recognized as World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Cyprus - Paphos CastleCyprus boasts of many impressive museums like the first natural Marine Life Museum and the Museum of Archaeology & Natural Sciences that has artifacts dating back to the early-Stone Age. Other popular places include Shipwreck Museum, and the Neolithic period exhibits at archaeological museum of Nicosia.

When in Cyprus don’t escape the magic of Troodos Mountains which also has wine making villages and forests of pine. There are many things to do like hiking, mountain biking or simply admiring the scenic view by going on a leisurely drive. You can even enjoy skiing during winters.

One of the main attractions is sun-bathed beaches which are a perfect place to relax or enjoy leisure activities like wind-surfing, diving and other water-sports. Best amongst them is Agia Napa with golden sandy beaches. Other popular beaches include Larnaca, Limassol, Turtle Beach and Aphrodite beach including the horse-shoe shaped coral bay.
