China entdecken – Shanghai erleben! Reise-Infos lesen, billigen Flug buchen und ein Hotel in Shanghai buchen. Chinas lebendigste Metropole, die gleichzeitig als „Perle“ und als „Hure des Orients“ bezeichnet wird, ist die größte Stadt des Landes. Das kleine Fischerdorf aus dem 19. Jahrhundert hat sich nach den Opiumkriegen zu einer wichtigen und pulsierenden Handelsstadt entwickelt, die heute ein Inbegriff ist für schnelle Veränderungen, Modernisierung, ein sehr lebendiges Nachtleben, sowie ein Stadtbild, welches geprägt ist von Wolkenkratzern und Baukränen.

Im Stadtteil ‚Bund’ findet man das Zentrum des kolonialen Shanghais. Hier befindet sich das China der 20er Jahre in Form von schmucken historischen Gebäuden, mit einer interessanten Mischung aus chinesischem und europäischem Stil. Am besten lernt man diesen Stadtteil kennen, indem man an der herrlichen Uferpromenade des Huangpu Fluss entlang spaziert. Von hier hat man auch eine fantastische Sicht auf Pudong, was besonders nachts sehr beeindruckend ist. Im hypermodernen Stadtteil Pudong sollte man in jedem Fall auf den Shanghai World Financial Center fahren, der aufgrund seiner Form auch ‚Flaschenöffner’ genannt wird. Der Turm ist das höchste Gebäude Chinas und hat mit dem Skywalk, auf 474 Metern Höhe, die höchste Aussichtsplattform der Welt. Einen beeindruckenden Ausblick hat man auch vom Jim Mao Tower, ganz in der Nähe. Direkt am People’s Square befindet sich das Shanghai Museum, welches das beste Museum der Stadt ist. Zu den anderen interessanten Museen gehören das Bund Museum, das Municipal History Museum, sowie das beliebte Art Museum.

Eine Oase der Ruhe bietet der Jade Buddha Tempel, der noch von Mönchen bewohnt wird. Hier kann man unter anderem eine beeindruckende Buddha Statue aus Jade bewundern. Auch der Jing’an Tempel und der Longhua Tempel sind wirklich sehenswert. Außerdem kann man direkt am Tempel traditionelle, vegetarische, buddhistische Mahlzeiten einnehmen. Ein interessantes Erlebnis ist es, sehr früh morgens in Shanghais Parks zu gehen. Besonders im Central Park in Pudong kann man hier den Einheimischen beim Tai Chi oder Meditieren zuschauen und die entspannende und besondere Atmosphäre genießen. Auch ein Besuch im Yuyuan Garten und Basar, in dem es herrliche traditionelle Gärten, sowie ein Teehaus und einen Touristenmarkt gibt, ist äußerst lohnenswert.

Von Frankfurt aus gibt häufig billige Flüge direkt nach Shanghai, wo man am beeindruckend großen Flughafen Pudong ankommt. Von hier aus kann man den Transrapid (Meglev Train) nehmen, mit dem man dank der hohen Geschwindigkeit von bis zu 431 km/h innerhalb von 8 Minuten in der Longyang Rd Metro Station in Shanghai ankommt. Ein aufregender Teil der Stadt ist die Nanjing Road. Der ältere Teil dieser Shoppingmeile ist die East Nanjing Road, die auch als ‚Goldene Meile Chinas bezeichnet wird, und wo es auch eine Fußgängerzone gibt. Die West Nanjing Road ist der etwas exklusivere Abschnitt der Straße, wo man Designerboutiquen und edle Restaurants findet.

In Shanghai gibt es vier ausgeprägte Jahreszeiten. Die ideale Zeit, um einen Flug nach Shanghai zu buchen, ist im Frühling und im Herbst, wobei besonders die Monate Mai und Oktober schön sind. Die Winter sind kalt und feucht, während im Sommer die Hitze und extrem hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit beim Sightseeing recht anstrengend sein können. The epic city of Shanghai is the biggest and most vibrant city in the People’s Republic of China. This city boasts countless tourist attractions, be it historic monuments, entertainment joints, beautiful parks and gardens, festivals or fascinating Buddhist temples.

Shanghai’s landmarks and monuments are a beautiful blend of the old and the new. The most prominent tourist attractions include the Temple of the Town God, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the People’s Square, and the Shanghai Library, which is one of the ten largest libraries in the world. For a great view of the city, don’t miss visiting Shanghai’s World Financial Center, which has been nick-named “the bottle opener” due to its unique shape. From its famous skywalk, which at a height of 474 meters is the world’s highest viewing platform, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Shanghai.

To know more about this beautiful city’s past, art and culture visit any of the numerous museums and galleries. The renowned ones include the Shanghai Museum, the Bund Museum, and the controversial Museum of Sex Culture.

Nature lovers should visit the city’s impressive parks and gardens like the Yu Yuan Gardens which also boasts a beautiful traditional tea house, the Botanical Garden and Fuxing Park. If you come here during the very peaceful hours of the early morning, you can witness the locals practicing Tai Chi or meditation.

For shopaholics there are many attractive venues in Shanghai like Huaihai Lu, Shanxi Nanlu and the Bund district. The most popular shopping strip is East Nanjing Road, which is also called the ‘Golden Mile of China’. On West Nanjing Road you can find many expensive boutiques and galleries.

Shanghai hosts world-famous festivals like the annual film festival, Formula One Grand Prix and the International Arts Festival. Other major attractions include the Dino Beach water park, which has Asia’s largest wave pool, Jingiang Amusement Park, a spectacular indoor aquarium, the Aquaria 21, the Riverside Promenade, Qibao, as well as pleasure cruises along the Huangpu River.

The city enjoys a subtropical climate with rather hot and humid summers and cold winters with occasional snow flurries. Both spring and autumn are the best time to visit Shanghai, with the most pleasant months being May and October.
