Kenya is one the most popular tourist destinations in the world. It is famous for its diverse and varied tourist attractions. It is Africa’s original safari destination and is also regarded as “Jewel of the East Africa”.

Kenya attracts a whole lot of explorers, adventurers and travelers because of its national parks, reserves and the most sought after wildlife safaris.  A journey to Masai Mara National Reserve, Amboseli National Park, Tsavo National Park, Aberdare National Park, Mount Kenya National Park, Samburu game reserve or to any one of the above is a trip of a lifetime.

If you don’t wish to explore the wild then go for trekking and hiking at Mt Kenya, Mt Kilimanjaro and the Western Highlands and that’s not all; for adventure there are other avenues as well, like hot balloon rides or the numerous watersports like swimming, diving, fishing, windsurfing, kayaking, catamaran or boating at Mombasa, Lake Victoria or Lake Turkana. Other than this one can simply go for picnicking, shelling or just laze around on the beautiful beaches. You can even take a leisurely cruise on the traditional boat, the dhow.

Kenya boasts of an assortment of popular music and dances which is perhaps the most diverse in Africa. The popular forms of music and dance includes Ngoma, Sikuti, Taarab, Beni, reggae, rap and rhythm, fusion music and Benga, a hybrid music.

Kenya offers a dazzling nightlife with no dearth of theatres, movies, pubs, bars, casinos and nightclubs that have sprouted across the nation. Kenya also has many shopping destinations but the most famous ones are Bomobolulu Crafts Centre and the Lamu shopping area.

Kenya has a tropical climate and is warm throughout the year. But altitude and terrain creates variation, ranging from the coast being hot and humid to the cool mornings in the central highlands while the north has dry and very hot days.
