Miami is described as the “only great city that started as fantasy,” and whether you’re into sports, sunshine or salsa, Miami sizzles all year long with exciting entertainment venues, world-class hotels and restaurants, great beaches and a nightlife that never sleeps.
Bayfront Park is a major tourist attraction that has varied and attractive features including the electronically controlled Pepper Fountain, an amphitheatre for musical performances of all kinds, a tower for laser illuminations, the Torch of Friendship, the World War II Memorial and the Challenger Memorial.
A trip to Miami is incomplete without visiting the Miami Beach. The famed Mecca of outlandishly beautiful people has white sandy beaches, clear water, art deco architecture and a great nightlife.
For wildlife enthusiasts visiting Metro Zoo is a dream come true with a wide variety of animals from Asia, Australia and Africa and entirely cage-less exhibits. Monkey Jungle is a unique experience too, where humans are caged in wired pathways while monkeys runs wild. One of the most unusual public parks is the Everglades National Park, home to 14 rare and endangered species, where visitors can walk, camp and canoe.
There are museums and galleries galore – Coral Gables, Art Express, Wallflower Gallery, Diaspora vibe art gallery, and Deering estate. Other than this Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is an excellent way to step back in time to the Renaissance period and spend a few hours away from the hustle and bustle of Miami.
For shoppers Bayside Marketplace is a must visit. It has a large mall with specialty and tourist shops, numerous cafes and restaurants and daily live entertainment. Outside the city skyscrapers lies Calle Ocho which has an area of shops, small markets, cheerful cafes and restaurants with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
