Las Vegas – Sin City is the only destination that finds a place in every tourist’s itinerary. It is the ultimate escape, offering non-stop fun and entertainment. Apart from the obvious tourist attractions like the casinos, clubs, bars, shows, live bands, penny slot machines and wedding chapels Las Vegas has a lot more to offer.
The other popular attractions include the Hoover or Boulder Dam, a splendid 730 feet of vertical concrete, the Fremont Street Experience as well as nearby Red Rock Canyon where you can enjoy hiking and rock climbing.
For fun and entertainment there are many different options, starting from the Rollercoaster or thrill rides at Manhattan Express, X Scream and Speed-the Ride (at Sahara) to Extreme Sports at Flyaway Indoor Skydiving, A.J. Hackett Bungy and ATV Dune and Desert. You can also play golf at Angel Park, Bali Hai and Las Vegas Golf Club. Then there are museums like the Liberace Museum, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and Elvis-a- Rama. Other attractions include the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef and the Mirage with the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. Car lovers should definitely visit the Imperial Palace Auto Museum, featuring cars of the rich and famous.
Las Vegas has a typical desert climate- dry, hot and windy. The winters can be quite cold, you can even go skiing in the mountains north of the city. The best time to visit is during spring and fall.
