Los Angeles, “the City of Angels”, is a city where the whole world goes to party. It offers countless options ranging from live theaters, operas, museums, lush, green parks, beaches and above all, real live movie stars.

The most prominent attraction attracting millions of tourists annually is of course Hollywood. Here you can catch a glimpse of the rich and famous. The main attractions are The Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Wax Museum, the Kodak Theatre, which is where the Oscars are held, Mann’s Chinese theatre, as well as the Sunset Strip, which is a great place for going out at night.

For fun and enjoyment there are several theme and amusement parks, such as Disneyland, which is a “must see” attraction, Universal City, home to the famous Universal Studios, Knott’s Berry Farm, Hollywood Billiards and Six Flags Magic Mountain, among others. Then there is the Music Center, which has three large auditoria, one for opera, the other two for theater. LA even has pulsating and vibrant beaches where Santa Monica, Malibu and Venice Beach top the list due to the variety of activities they offer. You can swim, surf, work on your tan, enjoy the ocean views, carnival games and rides at Pacific Park or dine on the Pier. Browse shops and watch street performers at the Third Street Promenade. Other famous beaches are Hermosa Beach, Long Beachand Manhattan Beach.

There are numerous museums in and around Los Angeles. Prominent amongst them are the Museum of Contemporary Art, which is home to one of the world’s most impressive collections of artwork. Then there is the Natural History Museum, the California Science Center, the Petersen Automotive Museum, the Museum of Tolerance, Exposition Park, as well as the well-known John Paul Getty museums located in the Getty Center in the Santa Monica Mountains.

But of course, there’s much more. There are many restaurants, bars, activities, city events and festivals in Beverly Hills, Venice, Marina del Rey, Orange County, as well as light entertainment at large number of cabarets, jazz and rock-bars across LA.

L.A. is blessed with cool fresh air year round, even in summer, so one can book a flight to LA anytime of the year. Although sometimes there can be heavy haze during winter, one can still head towards the beach.
