There are not many museums and galleries in the city but it houses the most important centre for the Bedouin handicrafts in Sinai, the El Arish (Sinai Heritage Museum).
Shopping in Sharm el sheikh is a memorable experience and this city offers a good range of products like jewelry, perfumes, leather and traditional Egyptian souvenirs. The best place to visit is around Na’am Bay, Sharm Old Market and the Dahab which offers excellent value for money goods.
This city also hosts a number of events and festival like the annual International Shopping and Tourism Festival which draws huge crowd. It also hosts International Camel Competition, International Diving Competition, International Fishing Competition and the unique Flooding of the Nile.
Sharm el sheikh boasts of very hot and sunny summers and warmer winters. The best time to visit is after the unbearable summer season.
