Belize is a Central American country that was formerly British Honduras. Belize is fast emerging as a great tourist destination and is popular for its culture, history, monuments, temples, water sports and adventure treks.

Other options include Spanish Creek Wildlife Sanctuary, Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary, Guanacaste National Park – a trekker’s paradise,Hummingbird Highway and Dangriga, famous for nautical/jungle excursions is also home to the only Garifuna museum.

Belize offers many water sports like swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving and a lot more. The famous outdoor/adventure spots are San Ignacio (Cayo), Caye Caulker, Punta Gorda, where you can swim in Gulf of Honduras’ azure blue waters, as well as Ambergris Caye and San Pedro’s sandy streets and beachside bars for a tropical paradise experience. Other major attractions include the Belize Barrier Reef, Barton Creek Caves, Belize Blue Hole, Hidden Valley Falls, Swallow Caye Marine Sanctuary, Shark Ray Alley (Hol Chan Marine Reserve) and Caye Chapel, a spectacular golf course.

Belize has a typically hot and humid climate throughout the year with a distinct dry and wet season. The dry season, December through May, is the best time to visit.
