mixed with recent Turkish style. There you can walk through “Hadrian’s Gate” which
also belongs to the historical town walls. It is said that this gate is the only relict of the
origin town.

Another historical sight are the Ruins of Perge, which are about 16 km north east of
Antalya. These ruins are leftovers of an ancient city and after Side one of the most
significant city of Paramphylia back then. The amphitheater impressively demonstrating
how theaters with an audience of up to 14,000 had been equipped back then.

Or maybe you want to see some landscape and nature? Then go visit the Waterfall
Manavgat or Kursunlu Waterfall. They are located a little bit out of town but it is no
problem to reach them using some of the tourist buses, the so-called ‘Dolmus’ or
traveling by car. Köprülü Canyon also shows a beautiful side of nature with its amazing
flora and fauna. It is named by the Turkish word “köprülü” which means ‘bridge’ in
English. It’s a Roman bridge of stone, a so-called “Oluklu Bridge”. Köprülü Canyon is
about 95 km away from Antalya in the north east.
