FABRIZIO ZORO (Busto Arsizio, Italy)

founder and director of La Maxima 79. He started La Maxima 79 together
with Massimo Scalici in 2013 and is the owner of the lable Smayra Publishing. Simply
one of the most important producers and songwriters for modern salsa today in Europe

TONY VELARDI (Turin, Italy)
piano - musical director
Simply the best Italian salsa pianist. He has been involved in salsa projects for over 20
years playing for many salsa orchestras (Tony Vega, La India, Frankie Negron, etc). He Is
The composer of hits like 5 Minutos, Topanga, Johnny Vazquez’s Azafata and the current

hit Paparrin.

YORIS URQUIOLA (Trinidad/Cuba)

second lead voice
His voice reminds on the great voice of Beny Moré. He is a great sonero and started his
career with son and traditional Cuban music as singer and percussionist.

SAMUELE DAVI (Palermo, Sicily)

He knows every type of Jazz and is booked for many AfroJazz festivals on Sicily
playing for the greatest singers and jazz musician.

JUAN CARLOS AVILA (L’Habana, Cuba)

He Played for Salon Rojo del Capri Show and for Los Van Van’s former singer Pedrito
Calvo y La Justicia. Additionally he played for many musicians of Buenavista Social
Club. In Italy he played for many maestros like Tony Vega, Hildemaro, Ruben Blades etc.

EFREN IRIARTE (Caracas, Venezuela)

One of the best timbaleros radicated in Milan. He Knows every style of salsa and he
can play timba as well as nuyorican style at the same level. His soli are a blast!

GABRIEL OTOYA (Peru)

This talented 20 years old guy has appeared in many movies as musician.
He can play folkloric music from Peru as well as Salsa. Well known for his
great strenght and power in his soli.
