In economic aspects, Milan is the leading industrial city in Italy by hosting numerous major banks, infuental media corporations and also to name the main Italian stock exchange “Borsa Italiana S.p.A.”. Signifcant industrial sectors are the automobile industry with the corporations “Alfa Romeo” and “Pirelli”, the clothing industry as well as the chemical-, medical- and biotechnology. Besides the scientifc and business side of milan, life takes place on the street and the people share their warm, open and energetic Italian-milanese mentality by meeting in bars, restaurants and clubs. You should try the well-known dishes “alla Milanesa” or selected regional wine. Some of the places most frequently visited by tourists are for example “Alcatraz”, the largest dance club of Milan where live concerts often occur, “Atlantique”, where the cosmopolitan szene meets or “Volo”, a club with an outdoor garden and a beautiful setting surrounded by walls from ancient times.
